Open House: Wednesday, August 26
To help manage traffic and crowd sizes, we ask that families attend during their designated times based on last names:
A-K- 5:00-5:45pm
NEW Student Welcome Area: 5:45-6:15 pm
L-Z- 6:15-7:00pm
Available at the Open House:
Visit our NEW Student Welcome Area in Gym 1 after or before your classroom visit to meet the principal and PAC (Parent Advisory Council) AND pick up your student’s free Hawk Pride t-shirt!
Also, stop by our cafeteria to connect with food service and Edventure Club staff.
Finally, visit the health office and main office to turn in forms or ask additional questions.
We look forward to meeting you and your student on August 26!
First Day of School: Tuesday, September 1
School Start/End Time: 9:15am - 3:45pm
Students can enter the building at 9:00am. There will be no supervision before this time.
Elementary Class Placements
Elementary class placements will be live on Parent Portal Friday, August 21st at 4:00pm.

End of Day Dismissal
We strongly encourage you to make every effort to maintain a regular routine at the end of the school day. If your child's schedule varies regularly, please communicate with your student's teacher and the main office.
Volunteer Opportunities
We will be in need of volunteers before school begins, and during our first few weeks with students. Check back for volunteers opportunities.
Complete your Background Check:
Visitors are not permitted in our building. All Volunteers who enter must have a background check on file with ISD728. If you would like to volunteer over the next three years, we encourage you to proactively submit a background check now by email pves.office@isd728.org.

School Donations
A table will be set up during open house accepting school supply, gift card and/or monetary donations for classroom and staff use. Popular gift cards include Ignite, Starbucks, Target, and Kwik Trip.
Parent Involvement
Join our Parent Advisory Council!
The Parent Advisory Council meets monthly in the Media Center monthly from 6:30-7:30pm.

Medication Drop Off
We are requesting that families bring Health Action Plans and medication to the Prairie View Health Office during Open House.
Ensure that all action plans or doctor's orders are current (dated within one calendar year). Medications must not be expired (we can not administer expired medications at school) and in their original packaging with the pharmacy label intact. For over-the-counter medications, all items need to be clearly labeled with your students' name.
Please complete all required information when filling out the details on the labeled bag (that will be provided at the collection station) when you are dropping off any supplies to ensure all medication is safely collected. This information will include:
- STUDENTS' NAME
- BEST CONTACT NUMBER TO REACH YOU
- NUMBER OF TABLETS (if dropping of daily medication)

Hawk Apparel
Visit our school store to purchase Hawk Pride apparel! Orders will be batched on the 1st and 15th of each month. You will have the option of delivery to the school or having the order shipped directly to your home.
